On the very day we kicked-off Fashion Week season in New York, I had the pleasure of being introduced to a lovely Korean designer and to her namesake label, Yuna Yang; a collection featuring women’s high-end ‘Young Couture’, a harmonious concept of traditional couture quality mixed with modern vision. Moreover, I got to sport the brand during their NYFW show, which was held at the gorgeous 3 West Club in Midtown, and the whole experience really has been a dream ! Yuna Yang is a brand that I could truly see myself wearing on the daily, especially because of its feminine side and oriental inspiration.
The dress I wore was actually fresh from their Spring-Summer 2015 collection, light, delicate but definitely not warm enough for the sub-zero temperatures of February in New York City so I opted for a same-colour faux-fur coat to wear over it. Quite fabulous picks, if you ask me (tapping myself in the back ;) I'm kidding here; but really do think this outfit stood out and was fair representation of the Yuna Yang girl. Quirky yet, very feminine and elegant ! In NYC, i think that would actually correspond to the Upper East Sider, a title I'd like to sport myself in the future, I must admit ;)
I accessorized the whole thing with a pair of white stockings, because going bare legs wasn't even an option, some blue platform sandals from a past Jessica Simpson collection and a distinctive statement necklace (The 'Zia'!) from my go to jewelry boutique in Montreal, Shals. And yes, in 2015, stocking in sandals is acceptable and highly trendy, may I say ! I happen to just LOVE a good sock-in-heel combo and I would love to see more of it this Spring, among the Fashion crowd and of course, as part of my personal outfits. Will brainstorm on that for you guys ;)
