Mid-NYFW is probably my favourite time of Fashion Month in New York City, mostly because this is precisely when is held the Custo barcelona show, each season. There really isn't another show like Custo Barcelona and the Spanish brand really goes out of her way to make things bigger and bigger and bigger, season after season ! And for the occasion, I like to do so to ;)
This season, I was more than happy to sport for the third time, a total Custo Barcelona look from the Fall-Winter 2015 line that was unveil to the whole world that same day. This time around, I opted for faux-fur, as New York can be really cold in the Winter, picking out a fun, fearless, black and brown sleeveless vest, which I wore under an all-black velvety coat I layered over my shoulders. As the vest was partly buttoned, partly opened, I figured a pencil skirt would be just perfect to hide the extra skin I didn't think it was necessary to show in sub-zero temperatures !
I paired the whole thing with these stunning over-the-knee suede boots from Just Fab which have been my go-to evening footwear this past season. I simply could not have made it without these; Winter in Canada can be so unglamorous at times ;) Now, unfortunately I have not been able to shoot this outfit on the same day I actually wore it for the Custo Barcelona show because my schedule that day simply wouldn't allow me… So I took advantage of the warmer of NYC, back in March, to hold an impromptu shoot near the East River ! That said, the team of E! Entertainement was on-site the day of the show and snapped a picture of my full look for their Street Style story online. Which look do you like better; totally glamed up or more natural and polished ?
