In Love with Barse

I was recently introduced to Barse Jewelry. When I heard it was based in Dallas, Texas, I couldn’t have been more excited. Even more so when I read that the founder, Melanie Barse, began her jewelry adventure in Fort Worth, Texas – where we bought our first home! But of course, I was even more convinced that I need their jewelry when I browsed through their collection online. Here are some of my favorite pieces.

You can say I’m a layering kinda gal. I love to layer clothes especially during the fall. So you probably guessed it right, I like to layer jewelry too. Not only do I love an arm stack, I love to layer necklaces as well. It’s pretty evident from previous outfit posts here and on STYLEanthropy.

While I still love and keep my statement necklaces and chunky bracelets, lately though, I prefer more refined pieces of jewelry for stacking. I like them thin, simple and elegant. This gold Vermeil Twinkle Necklace is seriously THE perfect length and size to stack with my other longer necklaces. It also comes in sterling silver and rose gold, plus there are other variations with turquoise, which I’m also loving!

Barse Jewelry is designer sterling silver, bronze, copper and silver overlay with a focus on opaque stones, especially through custom cuts and placements. One of the main stones they use in their designs is Turquoise. Whenever I hear Turquoise jewelry, I immediately think of a Western/Country aesthetic. But Barse has masterfully combined Western flair with modern cool.

Above, I’m wearing the Stairway to Heaven Necklace. I chose this piece because it combines genuine bronze, copper, sterling silver and the white calcite stone. I love that it combines different metal colors that will go with any jewelry I wear. The longer length also allows me to wear it with my short necklaces, such as the Vermeil.

Of course, I had to choose the Tri-Metal and White calcite earring to go with my necklace!

On the other hand, the Aperture Vermeil bracelet is the perfect minimalistic arm candy to match my Vermeil necklace. I love that I can stack it with other bangles too. The ring shown here is the With the Band Vermeil Ring. However, I had it on backwards without noticing. Oops. But backwards or not, it still works and it’s still simply gorgeous.

Next to it is my absolute favorite ring at the moment. It’s the BFF Multiple rings in bronze, African opal and onyx. There are so many wonderful things to say about this ring that I don’t even know where to start. For one, the black-white-gold combo is soooooo ME! Second, I’m into the whole marble aesthetic that you’ve probably noticed trending in the last year or so. Third, you can wear this ring multiple ways. You can wear it together, as seen above… or separate, as seen below. You can also wear just one, and give the other to your BFF. How cool!
