Happy Monday and cheers to a new week. Although I don't have anything very thrilling going on this week, I do have some exciting things happening this summer and I can't wait to share them soon! Speaking of summer, that's what it feels like in Boston today. The temps are in the 80's, and they will remain that warm all week. Hello denim shorts and sun dresses! Although I think my legs are a little too pasty for shorts, so I'll be wearing the next best thing, my boyfriends jeans. Because they fit looser and I like to wear them rolled, they make a perfect jean for the summer heat.

However, even though I've always loved the look of a boyfriend jean, I've found them to be just a little too baggy and unflattering on me. That was until the arrival of the girlfriend jean. The boyfriend's slightly slimmer, still loose fitting, but not too baggy sister. These Paige Jimmy Jimmy's have been one of my favorites to wear, as you can see I've put a lot of miles on them by the huge rip in the knee. Because they are still slouchier by nature, I like to pair them with something more tailored on the top. When you're a little top heavy like I am, a baggy top with loose jeans tends to not only look sloppy, but it also makes you appear larger than you are . To avoid this from happening, I like to wear mine with a structured top or blazer, for a more balanced and put together look.
