Fringe is in Baby!

I absolutely love how fashion trends come back in their own new ways!

Historically, fringe dates back to the Native American tribes as a barrier on clothing to repel rainwater. Fringe became a fashion statement dating back to the flapper look of the 1920's. Then in the 1960's, fringe was back as a political message for the Native American cause during the hippie movement.

Well, fringe is back with a vengeance!

When it comes to fringe, it really is all about statement pieces, whether it's a bag (like mine), a vest, kimono, or pair of shoes.

As I was putting my outfit together for Social Media Day 2015, I wanted to embrace summer and make a fashion statement, but with a rocker chick edge. This outfit started with the bag first, and everything else just fell into place in my mind!
