Time to channel your inner "basic white girl" and binge on anything and everything pumpkin! It just can't be helped sometimes. To follow this theme of obsessing, this year's fall fashion trends are another situation that I seem to be spree on. From head to toe, I can't get enough! A huge trend right now are hats! Felted, sophisticated hats that you would see in the 70s and 80s, in particular. They pull a look together, while adding a retro, statement piece. They also are the simplest accessory to throw on when you're having a bad hair day. Talk about a double-take!
To further evaluate, this season's key elements to focus on are texture and color. The cooler weather and the changing scenery is forcing us to adapt. Since sneakers have been an on going trend, it's time to step it up a notch and add some texture to these bad boys. Velvet has been consistently popping up on the trend radar this season. No matter your personal style, there's a way to incorporate this warm and fuzzy fall trend into your wardrobe. Since I tend to embrace the tomboy style, I opted for the velvet tennis shoes. For our girly girls out there, add some height to your velvet booties.
To contrast with the temperatures, the fall colors are very rustic and warm. According to Pantone, the color of the year 2015 is Marsala. This deep, rustic red resembles that of wine, which gives a sophisticated quality. No matter how you wear this color, you are bound to make a statement. The best way to add a pop of red, without overdoing it is through your accessories and your lipstick. I again decided to make the focal point my shoes. Just remember to click your heels together three times if you are going to go this route. To further enhance your look, sprinkle some on your lips to put a twist on the classic, bright, red lip.
Through hats, texture, and color, it's safe to say you will not hibernate this fall. Add some peach fuzz to your pieces or a splash of Marsala and you're ready to take on the season. No matter your style, there's always an option. The innocent can never last, so it's time to go HAM with your favorite fall trends!
