At the beginning of every year (along with my new year’s resolutions), I decide on a trend, color, or style that I want to incorporate more into my wardrobe. Usually, my choices tend to be on the edgier side, but this year was different, as I came to the unexpected realization that I barely wear/own any red.
Aside from the traditional red plaid shirt, I never really had considered red as a wardrobe option. Part of this was that I hadn’t found styles I really liked, and part of it was that I was afraid it would wash me out.
Nevertheless, seeing how Pantone named Marsala as the 2015 color of the year, I figured I’d give red a try, starting with this wine colored DVF number. Looking at the vibrancy of the color in photos and noticing how beautifully it stands out, I think that red and I will get along just fine.
