Hope you're all having a great Tuesday. I apologize for not having any posts the past several days. My MN trip didn't leave for any free time, and my beloved Grandmother was called to the Lord this past weekend. I debated whether or not I was going to share this information on my blog but decided I would as my Grandma was such a special person to me, and if I'm going to share my life here I need to be honest about it. Although this blog is about the fashion I love it's also about my life which will never be perfect. I cannot express how much I love my Grandma and what a wonderful person she was. I am so blessed that I got to share so many memories with her. My first Disney World trip was trekking it in an RV with my Grandparents when I was a teenager. My Grandparents and I took a week in their RV to explore and hike the falls in MN when I lived there. We had countless swims in the sound, shopping trips, trying on her heels, clothes and jewelry and wearing her makeup. Being my pen pal when I was in college (I'm so glad I kept those letters), watching old movies, traveling to the Galapagos Islands. I could continue but I'll spare you. My Grandma raised three men all with very different personalities, but all very stubbornly strong. I know I made her proud by being a trouble child in my older years and giving my Dad the grief that he gave her. She actually used to thank me for that. I loved hearing her tell stories of those three trouble makers growing up, especially the ones of my Father. I got it honestly. The love her and my Grandfather have for one another surpasses any love story I've ever seen. I'm happy she's no longer in pain and is watching down on my family from heaven. I was her princess, and she is an idol of mine. As E.E. Cummings would state...I carry her heart with me, I carry it in my heart.
As for the outfit...these pictures were taken a couple of weekends ago when it was SO nice outside. The next several weeks are going to be COLD here and we may even get some winter weather. This t-shirt is just awesome. Anyone who knows anyone who lives in CA or lives in CA loves the weather, and these colder temps have me thinking of Spring and Summer so what better time to post (plus, this top is on sale!). Also, these earrings are the bomb. They can be worn 3 different ways, and you can see in this post where I wear just the stud portion. They are such a fun earring for any time of year, and the versatility is out of this world! Thanks so much for letting me be transparent and sticking with me while I go through rough times as we all do. Go hug someone you love.
