#AllNaturalStyleSecrets: Seventh Generation Skin Serum

Lucky Community recently teamed up with Seventh Generation to create a little campaign entitled, All Natural Style Secrets.

We should all have our own set of natural style secrets.  Some of mine include...

[+ Using lemon juice & honey as a cuticle soak
+ Occasionally doing a quick green tea eye mask treatment
+ Using apple cider vinegar as a toner & spot treatment
&
+ Applying mashed avocado as a hair mask for extra conditioning]

The focus on natural beauty is at an all time high right now, which I couldn't be loving more.  People are increasingly aware of the ingredients in all their products from face wash to potato chips.  We need to realize what we're putting on and in our bodies and recognize whether or not the ingredients in some of the things we may love could possibly harm us in the future.

Let's. Go. Natural.

This campaign focuses on Seventh Generation's new Skin Boosting Serums.  Seventh Generation is a huge natural product brand that covers everything from beauty products to laundry detergent [which, by the way, I've been using for quite some time now].

I received Seventh Generation's 'Firming Boost Serum' to test out, but there are six types in total for various skin needs. [Protecting, Clearing, Soothing, Hydrating, and Revitalizing]

These serums utilize 100% plant-based oils maximizing antioxidants and eliminating clogged pores.  In addition, there are no parabens, synthetic fragrances, or phthalates...and all of the serums are hypoallergenic.  Sounds good to me!

Now on to my experience with the Firming Boost Serum...

When I first received this product I dove right in and used it that evening after washing my face.  I really wanted to see what this product could do, and after first observing it was a face oil [as opposed to other consistency of some serums] I decided not to follow up with a PM moisturizer but instead let the serum do its job completely alone.

The Firming Boost Serum contains...
Carrier Oil [apricot, almond, & grapeseed oil]
Brown Algae
Baobab [improves skin tone & elasticity]
Rosemary Extract
Peppermint

You can immediately smell the peppermint, and feel it, which I really liked.  Since the serum is a face oil you don't want to OD on applying it, I used just one pump to cover my face- I could tell it was all I needed.

So far between using the Firming Boost Serum in the morning and at night, it's been pretty great!  Using only one pump gives me the benefits of the serum but doesn't make my skin too oily and shiny.  I look bright and refreshed each time I use it, and I have no problems with makeup application after applying it.

I'll definitely be using up the entire bottle, and may even make it part of my routine.  I think I'd like to try another version, maybe Clearing, because it contains tea-tree oil...one of my favorites!

Perhaps Seventh Generation's Boosts Serum is the newest addition to my natural style secrets?

[Disclaimer: I received a free sample of this product from Lucky and Seventh Generation for use in connection with this blog.]
