I had an opportunity to try out a new skincare product from Seventh Generation and Lucky Magazine for the past week and I'm really excited to share the importance of taking care of your bare skin! Back in college, I was a huge makeup junkie, I loved testing out new products and trying out different things to create fun looks (I even tried making YouTube videos... remember this?). It's important to know how to properly use makeup to enhance your features and find the right products for your skin type, but I've learned that none of that really matters if you're not taking good care of the skin underneath.

I thought I had a good system figured out with a daily routine for day and night but I'm always open to trying new things. So when I received the product, I read over the ingredients, a variety of natural, plant-based oils and herb extracts, and figured it wouldn't hurt to try.   

My skin is generally very oily during the summer and in the winter, I get a few dry areas here and there. I wouldn't say that I have sensitive skin but I just figured out a way to work around the shine - so I decided to incorporate the serum to my night time routine because it's a concentrated product.

What I noticed in my skin within the last seven days of use was that my face looked a lot less shiny throughout the day than before, I didn't even really need to blot mid-day! I believe that the concentrated serum helped to hydrate my face and lock in the moisture. I've heard that sometimes people get really oily when their face is actually dry so your body tries to overcompensate by producing too much of the natural oils. 

I think it's always good to take preventative measures on aging as opposed to waiting for something drastic to happen and then trying to fix it. So firming and anti-aging products like this is definitely a good investment as we grow older (unfortunately).
