When in L.A., mini's are a must ! First, because the weather allows it (read, strongly suggests it!) and second, because the La La Land makes you feel like everyday is a beach day. Since I haven't fully converted to the Los Angeles way-of-life yet(!), I still managed to pair mine with a long-sleeves crop top from American Apparel, even though nobody wears black in L.A. Kind of my way of standing out among the crowd ;) I wanted to share this outfit with you guys, regardless if it is Christmas Eve or not, because even though I absolutely love Winter, I miss those sunny Cali days and I can't wait to go back down South in two weeks, this time in Miami.
This is also the outfit I wore for Sophie Simmons x The Style Club collection launch back in October (remember here?). Even if the event was held at night, the weather was just so warm and humid so I totally went for something light and playful. I seriously cannot get over this skirt I got from Zara for NYFW, back in February 2014 (my very first Fashion Month!). It reminds me of so many great memories and has the power of enlightening up any outfit because of its clever colour mix and match ! The fit is also a great thing about this skirt: I always love a good fit and flare, this time, on a mini skirt. Didn't even know that was possible ;)
As mentioned previously, I paired my gorgeous skirt with an American Apparel black crop top so the whole outfit would actually stand out more. Of course, no style of mind would be complete without a splendid piece of jewelry from Shals, my favourite statement jewelry destination here in Montreal. I also added on a simple matte black Marc Coblen watch (the only timepiece I own, as a matter of fact!) to my outfit and finished the whole this off with my favourite Le Château sandals which I find are very reminiscent of Stuart Weisman's Nudiste stilettos, in much more affordable alternative !
So yeah, that's pretty much it for today ;) Hope everybody enjoys a nice friends and family time tonight and a wonderful Christmas Day tomorrow (at the moment for my friends and followers in Eastern Asia !).
