The newest pieces of clothing infiltrating my fall wardrobe are capes and ponchos. If, five years ago, you'd have told me I'd be wearing poncho, after wrap, after cape, I'd have told you you were crazy. However, I think since my middle school poncho-wearing days, ponchos/wraps/capes have all been modernized in the best way: streamlined, made minimalistic—wearable.

Yesterday on Twitter I was raving about the newest Old Navy wrap in my collection. Guys, Old Navy is killing it in the poncho department this fall (and no, this is not a sponsored post). The open-front poncho I'm wearing in today's post is cozy yet breathable, perfect for those days when there's a brisk wind in the air but the sun keeps temps relatively mild. I wore this for a weekend brunch with stripes, but next time I'm planning on pairing it with plaid and maybe some casual sneakers to give the poncho a different vibe.
