Here's where it started- at the thrift store in my neighborhood. Overalls were 5 buckies and I could not, would not, pass up a chance to obtain lazy summer togs dirt cheap.

I mean.... the comfort, the coolness, the lack of self-consciousness since all your bits and pieces are shielded in denim! It's like wearing a giant diaper.

The update:

I fashinized my safety zone by adding a pattern clashing oversized gingham shirt from Southern Tide, bright yellow boxy handbag from Kensie Clothing, and these aweseome floral patterned single sole pumps from Ami Clubwear.

How does this look on? Like this...

I t was comfy, yet I felt styled. I added the bandanna headwrap just to be a little edgy.
