So far in Boston, we have over 60″ of snow. As I’m sure you can imagine, it’s absolutely miserable. There is no where to put any of it and I think I speak for us all when I say we are sick of shoveling out our cars. It seems like every time we turn around there is another 3′ of snow on the ground! Not cool, Mother Nature, not cool.

One positive that I’ve been holding on to during these dismal, cold days is that when it’s coming down in big chunky flakes, it looks like a real-life snow globe! From our fourth story walk up, the streets of Boston seem even more picturesque when swirling with wind and twinkling with snow.

To take advantage of the this winter wonderland, I decided to venture outside and shoot this look. I love how the black creates a powerful contrast against the white snow. Additionally, as I was editing these photos, I realized something. Over the past two years blogging my style has changed immensely. Lately I’ve been considering my personal style and really digging deep to think about what I like. Personal realizations aside, I think that style-wise, this outfit is one of my favorites to date. I felt so comfortable shooting this and was generally pleased with how I was presenting myself to the world. Being confident is a crazy feeling and I hope that many of you are remembering to take the time to truly find what takes you there.
