*side note* Tars, if you’re reading this, I may have taken a photoshoot with your hat. Don’t hate me, I couldn’t resist

I recently got my friend this hat for her birthday. We have been looking for a cute large hat for ages and I was super excited to have finally found the perfect one for her! However, before I gave it to her, I felt the urge to try it on and take a few photos with it….

I have also been on the hunt for a long flannel. Plaid tops are one of my favorite things and when I saw this one on Noul’s instagram, I knew I had to have it immediately. A couple of weeks later, I tried it on in-store and fell in love. It’s so comfy and great and I’m so pumped to style it various ways. I think it would also make an adorable shirt dress when belted. 

I paired it over a black American Apparel tee and some emerald jeans. Fun fact about this shirt: I’ve had it for a decade now and it used to be black but it’s now faded to a dark grey, but it’s still going strong. They don’t sell this style in store anymore so I’m holding on to it as long as I can. I think it might be one of my favorite shirts. It’s just so comfy and worn-in and perfect.

For jewelry, I decided to dress up this outfit with this statement silver necklace from H&M. I got this necklace in the summer and it might just be one of the best jewelry purchases I have ever made. My boots are pointy-toed ankle boots with silver studs lining the heel.

I also really love my purse today. As you are probably aware, I really only wear two purses: my Kate Spade and my Marc Jacobs one, but they are both small crossbody purses. I needed something a little bit larger. Recently I was checking out the Garage website. I never really shop at Garage so I have no idea what tempted me to check it out, but I’m so glad I did because I came across this bucket bag on sale for only $15. I was pretty pleased with it. 

And as a thank you to my friend for unknowingly letting me wear her hat, let’s all wish her a happy birthday. On the count of 1….. 2…… 3…… HAPPY BIRTHDAY TARANEH!
