History of Cut-Off Shorts at a Glance.

Believe it or not, cut-off shorts have a rich history of existence dating back to the 1960’s. This is when art-fashion and style started to collide in response to people fed up with the then current political climate. In the 1970’s Daisy Duke (A popular television character) revived the style, only shorter. Today, short cut off jean shorts are still referred to as “Daisy Dukes.” In the 1980’s denim shorts of all lengths took root in the wardrobes of girls everywhere. They became a must-have staple. The 1990’s brought with it the grunge movement. Denim shorts were EVERYWHERE. They were a vital part of this wardrobe. Of course lengths were longer. After the grunge movement, cut off shorts strongly emerged in 2005 for all to wear and enjoy. Now, most everyone wears denim and even cut off shorts regularly.
