Many times when putting an outfit together I draw from the “opposites attract” mentality. If I am wearing tight jeans, wear a loose-fitting top. Short skirt? Cover up on top and wear long sleeves. Wearing leggings? Throw on a baggy sweater. For me it is all about balance. In today’s look I took the opposites masculine and feminine and incorporated it in two ways.
- The delicate lace of the crop top and light weight fabric of the pants contrasts with the leather motorcycle jacket.
- The all black look is broken up with a pop of pastel pink.
I think that was one of the reasons I was drawn to this moto jacket to begin with. It mixed both feminine and masculine within the piece itself. There are countless ways to combine leather and lace to take you through the cold weather months like wearing a girly, lace dress with black leather boots or try a leather pencil skirt or leather leggings with a simple, lace blouse.
Afraid to try this combo? Don’t be! All of the pieces I’m wearing today are UNDER $20 so you don’t have to break the bank to try this look! Outfit details are below!
