Spring is that time of year where our closets literally lighten up. We shed the layers of clothing, and the colors of what we wear go from blacks and dark colors to pretty spring pastels. The festivities during this season also call for these lighter and romantic colors, as we get dressed for Mother’s Day, bridal showers, and all sorts of garden parties. You will rarely see me sporting a full on pastel outfit. However, when I paired this Lulu’s metallic skirt with this pink top, I fell in love with the fierce prettiness of the look. Metallic Skirt c/o Lulu’s | Pink Top: Forever 21 | Bejeweled Heels: She’s Collection (similar) | Holographic Bag: Kelsi Dagger (similar) | Lightning Hand Wrap c/o Wren and Glory | Earrings c/o Pretty in Pynk | Sunglasses were a gift from a friend! Yes, that was Aminta, too. (similar)
This Lulu’s skirt was a find during the Lulu’s Style Studio event held last New York Fashion Week. My friend Aminta, from Clothes and Fashion, found this gem and was awesome enough to let me try it, and ultimately keep it. (Fashion BFFs for life!) I was wearing this pink top from Forever 21 when I tried the skirt on, and when I saw the picture (as there were no mirrors), I fell in love with the whole look! Spring couldn’t come fast enough for me to go out into the world and wear this triple threat of a skirt. It is pleated, metallic and made out of vegan leather! #love
To finish off this spring outfit, I thought it would go perfect with silver bejeweled sandals and this fun holographic bag for an elegant, yet fun look. I added a pair of pretty chandelier earrings, and an amazing lightning bolt hand wrap from Wren and Glory. It is such a cool piece! It immediately became a favorite in my jewelry box. I’m always wearing black with a splash of color, but I felt fierce in this ensemble thanks to all the fun details and textures.
What do you think of this look? Too much pastel, or the perfect spring outfit?
