Masculine & Feminine

I have loved the idea of the menswear trend for a while now, but have never been quite sure how to properly pull it off without looking like I am actually wearing men's clothing, until now...

When I saw this striped top on SheIn's website, I got menswear vibes right away, but knew I could add a pair of heels and some ladylike accessories to keep it girly and fun, hence today's blog post title: masculine and feminine.

For those of you like me, interested in dipping your toes into the menswear trend but not diving all the way in, a blue striped button down is the perfect piece to add to your closet. This one is especially great since it's only around $15!

I paired it with my ever present skinny jeans, a pair of fun sandals and a statement necklace to help balance the look from going too masculine.

After styling this look, I've come to the conclusion that it really is all about balance to pull off this trend. Another great menswear style option to try out is a boyfriend blazer. Paired with feminine accessories & a girly color palette, a blazer that fits in the shoulders and arms but is just a bit over sized in length will give you a borrowed from the boys feel without going overboard.
