I love tossing on a jumpsuit during the summer. They can be just as easy to wear as a dress, but the fit needs to be absolutely perfect. Jumpsuits and rompers can be one of the hardest items to shop for since they need to fit perfectly in all areas. Today I am sharing my 3 main fit areas to examine while shopping for a jumpsuit or romper.
1. Pant/Short length - you don't want to look like you borrowed your jumpsuit, so pant length is definitely my number one fit factor. If you're wearing a romper, make sure that you can bend over without showing off too much. If you choose pants, make sure they aren't dragging on the floor.
2. Waist - I love when rompers/jumpsuits have elastic or some type of tie at the waist. A lot of times, this eliminates the stress about finding the perfect fit for your middle. If the jumpsuit or romper doesn't define your waist, adding a belt is a good idea. With all of the fabric that a jumpsuit is made with, it's important to show off your figure.
3. Bodice/Neckline - This jumpsuit is strapless but that doesn't mean the bodice and neckline area aren't important. Make sure that the neckline is appropriate for the occasion, ie. a deep v-neck may not be ideal for your office, while a strapless look like mine is obviously geared towards warm weather. Also make sure the bodice is long enough so that the waist hits you at your natural waist and isn't creating a drop waist or a camel toe (my worst nightmares!). eek!
