Laced Up Thigh High

About a week ago I made it out to see Britney Spears at Britney: Piece of Me, her residency show at Planet Hollywood. Britney Spears plays 50 shows a year here in Las Vegas, and having grown up to her music I knew I had to watch her perform. I briefly considered dressing up for the show in true Pop Princess style, as either School-Girl-Britney or Denim-on-Denim-with-Justin-Britney, but I may have been hard pressed to convince my friends to dress up with me.

I have a little obsession with thigh-high boots, and Tony Bianco makes one of my favorite pairs. These black suede thigh high, full lace up stiletto boots were the perfect shoe to dress up my basic black sweater dress. I made the look a step more casual and weekday night appropriate by wrapping a flannel around my waist and reaching for my Givenchy Pandora satchel instead of a clutch. I never want to be the girl in an Herve Leger dress and Louboutins at a concert, so for me this was just the right combination of sexy and comfortable.
