I'm a '90s kid by birth and at heart, so seeing my birth decade make a sartorial comeback is nothing short of satisfying and inspiring. I may remember these early years of my childhood as the phase where I rocked my Minnie Mouse costume (and really anything with Minnie Mouse on it) like it was nobody's business. Lately however, I'm fascinated with the contrasting adult trends the decade had to offer. Simple slip dresses and grungy plaid shirts were all the rage in the '90s, and they remain staples for the summer to fall transition. There's something about pairing the lace and plaid together that exudes a contradiction of hard and soft so well without looking too precious. Leopard clogs, a classic cross body and a delicate chain necklace amp up the 70s/90s vibe by keeping the look fun and modern yet clean and minimal.
