jagged, fringed and frayed.

I did not wear red, white and blue for the Fourth, rule bender that I am. But I did wear festive polka dots and oodles of fringe.

The weather turned out perfect despite prediction of rain.

My Giorgio Amani shawl was soft enough in silk velvet, to smooth me out. My mood became mellow. The long fringe danced in the wind.

I also carried last season's Ostrich bag from Valentino. These feathers were smooth and unruffled. I love the scarab in the center!

More shots:

My back hurt that day, my autoimmune disease reared it ugly head, and my nerves were shot! But I stretched and stretched, and felt well enough to celebrate by dinner time!

The holiday was nice after all! I hope yours was too. I am wearing vintage Jessica McClintock, sim here. I also like this dress by Guess, at Guess.com. My Valentino bag is sold out , but a similar one is here. I adore this yellow bag in ostrich feathers and silk by Roberto Cavali.

My black lace up sandals are so comfortable, by Naya. The are also sold out, but I love these by the same company. Nail color is Bikini so Teeny by Essie, and lip color is Ruby Woo from Bloomingdales. My silk velvet shawl is a couple of years old, but I love this from Opensky.com.

Have a wonderful Fourth and a fabulous weekend !

xx, Elle
