Fringed for the Fifth of July

The fifth of July was a perfect, quiet day in the city that never sleeps. The bustling hub emptied out to the East End, upstate; green pastures anywhere. Happy to be here, though it was by default, I am wearing a fringed skort, with an embroidered tee. How I love to pattern mix! I think I had fireworks on my mind!

Not only was the weather perfect and the streets empty, but the sales were, shall we say, ah-mazing!

I love how fringe adds texture to an outfit. Longer fringes adds movement, too, and that is alluring when in motion. This smaller fringe adds just a smattering of detail, but it works with the embroidery from my Prada tee perfectly. The floral scarf from Macy's years ago, divided the two patterns and added a playful vibe.

The colorblock envelope clutch pulled out the purple from the skort, and of course matched pertly with the Prada tee and tbags losangeles skort. The skort is available here in a cute black and white check. My black sandals have cool cutout straps, they are no longer available , but I love these by Michael Kors from Macys. My clutch came from Italy a few years back, it is by Paolo del Lungo. This little number is pretty gorgeous too, from Fendi via Bluefly. A more affordable option, cute, too- is vegan! If you are in the market for a skinny scarf ( I LOVE these) here is one from Ted Baker via Asos.

Have a great day Loves! What is your favorite fringy item in YOUR closet?
