Fall Closet Classics

This week was a chilly one in Chicago. A reminder that summer’s very short cameo is almost at an end. But with that comes my favorite season – Fall, Autumn, Otoño. Call it what you want. It all means time to bring out those jeans, boots, and sweaters.

This season I’m excited to see that flare jeans have once again made a comeback. And as the season progresses I’m sure my flares will just get wider and wider.

I’m happy to keep a classic look going with a simple white tee. Nothing says all American like a white tee and jeans. A white tee is so versatile and with so many cuts, styles, and textures you can never have enough in your closet. And the best part is it won’t ever go out of style. Its a great way to stay casual, while looking put together. I wanted to keep the look simple and just wore it with a pair of boots in taupe, a great color for fall.

I did mention it was getting chilly, so I threw on a wool poncho sweater to keep me warm while I worked on finishing my book. Yes I’m still trying to finish Gone Girl, even though I’ve already seen the movie.
