It is amazing how a basic clothing staple can be elevated so quickly with the right accessories. Sometime subdued is better than bold, but sometimes thoughtfully chosen statement pieces are the only way to go. Stripe dresses are a classic, everyday go-to for me (I have somehow accumulated three of them, but hey, they all have different color stripes!) But when paired with the right accessories, they can be transformed from everyday to effortlessly chic. On another note, I never realized the beauty and convenience of a huge, oversized leather tote until a few weeks ago when I stubbled upon this beauty. I’ve always been a small bag person, which inherently limits the amount of “necessary” stuff I can cart along with me — but with this guy, I can fit my computer, an extra pair of shoes and much more (while remaining fashionable, of course!) Pairing my simple dress with this beautifully bold tote, an indigo felt hat, and equally cool booties — it went from everyday to effortlessly chic in a blink of an eye!
