Black is my go to color. I just can't help it. It's classic, easy, flattering, goes with everything and speaks to my inner emo/goth. Unfortunately, it's no longer appropriate for me to go around wearing black all day everyday. So, to break up the black, I always like to add a bit of color.

This time I got my inspiration from Pantone's Color of the Year: Masala. While the color I used is more towards the shade of carmine, shades of dark red are flattering on almost all skin tones. And as you can see, it's also a great go-to color for accessories and makeup.

What do you think of Pantone's Color of the Year choice? It's definitely darker and more earthy than the colors of previous year. Leave a comment and let me know!

XOXO
