Beach Wedding x Mixed Prints

Fall is quickly taking over but what's a better way to reminisce on the best of summer than to look back on a beach wedding outfit that screams simplistically bold.

The dress code for the wedding was simply stated as formal beach attire. I took this as a chance to really explore today's current trends in the most simplistic and Linda-like way as possible. While this outfit is more out of my budget than I would typically spend (totaling around ~$150 for everything), it was definitely worth it after all of the compliments I received from people I didn't even know. Definitely a show-stopper!
I know the title specifically states mixed prints and you're probably looking at this outfit and thinking, "Where?" Even though the top is a solid color, there is 3-dimensional circular print formed from the crochet lace overlay. Because of the circular shapes on the top, I was able to match it well with the geometric patterns on the pleated chiffon skirt for a play on mixed prints without being overwhelming. The high thigh slit on the skirt also added a bit of flow for the beach - which was exactly what I was looking for. What I love about shopping at Sabo Skirt and Missguided is that I never have to take anything in. Both pieces were perfect fits for my size (XS and 2 respectively), with the exception of the length of the skirt which had to be hemmed about 5 inches higher. Check out the look below!

I loved the idea of a beach wedding but it did give me a lot of trouble in terms of finding the perfect outfit that didn't require the typical heels and dress combo. What are some other outfit ideas for beach weddings that you have?
Thanks for stopping by!
