Our small town has quite a few festivals throughout the year, and a couple weekends ago was the Harvest Moon Festival. There were country singers, food vendors, mini ponies for the kids, and lots of people set up to sell their artwork; Tommy and I had a great time walking around and chowing down on some Texas BBQ! The festival was held at our town square, which is home to the old Granbury Theatre. Since I was wearing a monochrome back and while outfit, I fit in perfectly with the Theatre entrance, and naturally had to take photos there.
We went early, which meant it was almost chilly. I wore my favorite pair of $15 distressed J Brand jeans, which I finally cut the ends off of (even though I realize you can’t tell with these boots), and a striped Alexander Wang top I found at Nordstrom Rack about 2 years ago for $20. I wore these boots in my last post as well, and they have been my footwear of choice the last few weeks. I can’t get over how sleek they are with the small buckle detail (and they are comfortable too). I don’t apologize for all the future outfits you will see with them…but I’m glad to be getting use out of them since $250 was a lot for me to spend on boots. For those that don’t want to fork out retail for the boots (or can’t find them at Nordstrom Rack), I found this great Halogen pair from Nordstrom for $100 that look really similar, with a few silver studs to give them the western flare – they would have matched my look even better, actually!
Speaking of western, I still can’t get over this gorgeous belt I found at Goodwill for $5. There have been more lately, so I may pick up another one since I keep finding ways to wear them. I felt that I needed one more element to the look, so I threw on my $25 Michael Stars hat I bought off Poshmark. With my boots, belt, and hat, I felt like I successfully pulled off a bit of Texas, without looking like I was going to a country concert!
