Festival season is my favorite thing in the world. Ever. Not that I get to go to a lot of festivals. I just love wearing gauzy dresses, fringe, bolo ties, and big hats. Which made it nearly impossible to choose my favorite pieces from LuLu's Festival Essentials Shop! BTW I've been wearing bolo ties since middle school, trendsetter (or nerd), I know. But really I just had a super cool artistic mom, who influenced me in all the right ways. So because of my infatuation with bohemian festival looks, I bottled up all of my excitement for the season into a few posts on festival styling tips, including songs from artists I can't wait to see!
TIP ONE: WHIMSY IN WHITE
This look is all about white. It's the it color for the season and Little White Dresses are totally replacing LBDs.
Why: White clothing doesn't get as hot as black or darker colors when hanging out in the sun. Flowy white pieces like this high low top also exude bohemian vibes. Go for loose pieces with movement, nothing will be more fun then dancing in a dress or top like this.
Trend Alert: Tassels & Bolo ties. Tasseled shorts or shorts with pom pom trim are adorable and so so so perfect for festivals. Bolo ties, as I said, I've been a fan of forever, but they're definitely making a more accepted comeback.
