If Vancouver had a uniform, it would be rain boots. Okay, and maybe yoga pants – but hopefully it would be these ones (hint: they look nothing like yoga pants).
It literally rained for 10 hours straight the other day, so a good pair of rain boots and an umbrella in Vancouver is just as important as a good pair of winter boots and snow tires in other parts of Canada. But, as usual, basic rain boots won’t do for me; after much deliberation, I set my sights on a pair of Chelsea style rain boots. My Chelsea boot collection seemed to grow exponentially in 2014 (I purchased these and these), so it’s no surprise that my perfect rain boot is short, stylish, practical, and minimalistic. In addition to hitting all the right style notes, what I love most about these boots is they are just all around easy; they go with everything in my wardrobe and don’t feel clunky, lumpy, or awkward to walk in.
Speaking of ease and simplicity, I took time over the holidays to purge, organize, and sort through our storage locker and random spaces in our home. I know most people wait for spring to do this, but my inner overachiever just couldn’t resist. You know what? I highly recommend it. It was a great way to kick off 2015 and even though we are aren’t even two weeks into the new year, I already feel productive. No promises, but maybe my early spring cleaning will bring us an early spring? We can only hope.
