Spring is all about fresh starts and renovation. The same thing applies to the items in your closet. If you have pieces from the fall and winter months that are short sleeved and made out of lighter fabrics, don’t discard them into your “out of season” pile just yet. Bring them out to play in the sun, styled in a renovated and fresher way!

Forget all the tights and leggings, tall boots and heavy layers of faux fur, jackets and coats. For spring, focus on wearing fun shoes and accessories, and you are ready to go. Let the dress speak for itself, and enjoy transitioning in ankle boots, high-tops, flats and pumps. Add even more interest to a color-blocked or monochromatic dress by adding a print, either through a bag (like I did here with a leopard print crossbody bag!), or with your shoes. Spring is the time to play and standout in color and prints, as we say goodbye to being covered in layers and layers of dark colors.

It’s also the perfect time to start experimenting with cutouts and shorter lengths. I love the pretty cutout this Cindy + Johnny dress has in the back! That and the amazingly soft fabric make it the perfect spring dress. Check out Cindy + Johnny’s spring collection on their website, and stop by and say hi on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
