This season's hottest fashion trends all seem to include some sort of throwback to the 70's. That is flares, maxis, fringe, denim, and suede. With just a few simple pieces, today's look combines the majority of those fashion must-haves for optimal impact. This maxi dress from H&M was simply love at first sight (and not just because it was $34). It's hard to go wrong with a long summer dress. When temperatures start to climb, my desire to layer-on complicated outfits lessens. That’s why during summer, maxi dresses are the perfect "instant outfit" to keep me feeling and looking effortlessly cool all season long. For a bohemian or retro chic vibe, a long flowing maxi dress in a burst of floral patterns or artistic geometrics is a must-have summer staple. While maxi dresses have been popular for sometime now, this season it's all about the sleeves. A simple maxi dress becomes so much more with the addition of flirty bell sleeves spanning out from the elbow. Their light and airy attitude adds a groovy appeal when paired with a fringe handbag, hat, and suede sandals. Four items for minimal effort and maximum 70's appeal! 70s silhouettes and bell sleeves are two easy fashion trends I can't wait to continue to play with this summer. For day, I'd highly encourage an ankle-grazing hemline to keep the look feeling more like a causal dress than a formal gown.
