Hope you had a great first start to the week- better late than never for a Monday post. I’m all about fresh starts today. It’s a new season, which is a perfect time for new shoes and a fresh floral print skirt. I saw this skirt and really loved that it wasn’t a typical floral print on some type of white material. The contrast of the primary colored flowers (versus your cliché pastel colors) really pop against the dramatic black material for more of an edgier look. Instinctively, I would have paired it with a black shirt, but I wanted to try something different which is when I came across this sheer yellow top. It pops the yellow flowers on the skirt perfectly.
Every now and then I like to add a luxe item to my wardrobe, and why not, we all work hard and I think there’s nothing to feel guilty about treating yourself to something that you’ve been wanting and working for, it makes it all worthwhile. A luxe item is never an impulse buy for me, it’s always strategically thought out and researched beforehand. I’ve wanted a pair of loubs for a while now and after google imaging different pairs, I decided on the corneille. I love that they’re matte black, have an asymmetrical pointed toe and are a four inch heel because I would die in the six inches. I did get the soles protected with red rubber, and if you have a pair it’s something I recommend before wearing your new loubs the first time, as the red soles are only paint which gets worn off very easily. If you’re thinking about getting a pair, you can’t go wrong, they’re a worthy wardrobe investment.
